Meet Ollie Cudd, our Digital Communications Manager at SASH.

Summarise your role: As the Digital Communications Manager at SASH, my primary responsibility is to oversee SASHnet, our external website, and social media presence. Additionally, I manage all digital content for the Trust, which includes patient-facing screens, photography, and videography. I work closely with a team of three to ensure that our staff, patients, and stakeholders are all kept up to date with the latest communications.

What do you find challenging about your role: I find my role to be fast-paced and exciting, but it can also be challenging at times due to the high demand and short deadlines that are often required to be met. This is particularly true given the size and scope of our Trust, which can make it difficult to keep up with the ever-changing demands of our staff, patients, and stakeholders. Nonetheless, I thrive on the challenge and enjoy finding creative solutions to problems as they arise.

What do you find rewarding: I have the opportunity to meet and connect with individuals from different departments on a daily basis, which is something I truly enjoy. One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is being able to share not only the Trust's story, but also the personal stories of our staff, patients, and stakeholders. This allows me to be creative and innovative in the way I approach my work, which is something I am passionate about. Overall, I find my role to be both fulfilling and challenging, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

What do you enjoy outside of work: Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, daughter, and dog, who bring me endless joy and happiness. In my free time, I like to pursue my passion for photography and graphic design, which allows me to exercise my creative side and explore new ideas. I also enjoy following my wife's DIY orders and working on various home improvement projects together.
