Welcome to Surrey and Sussex Healthcare

NHS Trust

Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust provides emergency and non-emergency services to the residents of east Surrey, north-east West Sussex, and South Croydon, including the major towns of Crawley, Horsham, Reigate and Redhill. At East Surrey Hospital, Redhill we have 697 beds and provide acute and complex services. In addition, we provide a range of outpatient, diagnostic and less complex planned services at The Earlswood Centre, Caterham Dene Hospital and Oxted Health Centre, in Surrey, and at Crawley Hospital and Horsham in West Sussex.

Please note
We know how important it is for people to be able to visit their loved ones while they are in hospital and we are proud to have previously introduced open visiting on the vast majority of our wards. Following the latest Government advice which says that everyone must stay at home to help stop the spread of coronavirus, we are temporarily suspending visiting to all clinical areas, with the exception of a small number of essential visitors only. These are: where there are exceptional circumstances, such as visiting someone at the end of their life and where parents need to visit babies and children in paediatrics, maternity or our neonatal department. In these instances we ask that you discuss this with the staff in charge of your loved-ones’ care before attending. Please be assured you will be able to stay with your child if you bring them in needing emergency care. We are very grateful for your understanding – thank you for working with us to reduce the risk of infection and save lives.
