Fluoroscopy

Service category: Diagnostics

Service location(s): East Surrey Hospital

Fluoroscopy is used in the diagnosis and treatment of many conditions. It involves the use of x-rays to produce real time images, similar to a video, of the inside of the body. These images aid us in investigating the cause of your symptoms and guiding the best treatment options for you.

For some of the procedures you may need to prepare beforehand. This information will be sent out to you in the post before your procedure and can also be found on this web page. It is very important you read the information beforehand and follow the instructions to ensure we can successfully carry out your procedure. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact us.

Our service is run at East Surrey Hospital, Monday-Friday between the hours of 9am-5pm. Please be aware not all procedures are carried out every day which may be a reason for some procedures being offered only on a specific day of the week.
