SASH diagnostic imaging has one of the fastest turnaround times in the south east for getting patients’ X-ray results back to GPs, and continually invests in radiology equipment.
The team of 150 staff includes radiographers, radiologists, sonographers, imaging assistants, nurses and administration staff, working together to carry out around 238,600 examinations a year – a figure which is increasing by 10% year on year.
East Surrey Hospital is also the first in the country to have the latest wider body MRI scanner, which makes the experience more pleasant for larger patients, and has the ability to do a faster scan.
