Who are you: Mary Cansamy
Summarise your role: My role is to manage outpatient referrals for our patients at SASH via the Electronic Referral Service (e-RS) and by email, making sure to follow internal processes professionally and accurately.
What do you find challenging about your role: It can be difficult to balance the workload, ensuring that everyone is up to date with Trust policies and keeping up data quality reports. I enjoy the challenges, finding solutions to problems as they arise.
What do you find rewarding: I find it rewarding to be in a position where I am able to help patients and members of staff with queries relating to referrals.
What do you enjoy outside of work: I love travelling and painting, whenever I'm in the mood for it. My next stop is Vegas and my next project is a waterfall painting for the living room.
