Who are you?
I am Angela Manktelow, I am 32 years old and I work for SASH.
Summarise your role.
I am a registered nursing associate, I was registered in December 2021, and I have been working within SASH since March 2022. My role within the unit is to care for patients aged 16 to 112 with all different illnesses and conditions by giving them medication or assisting them with their personal care needs.
What do you find rewarding about your work?
There are lots of things that make my work rewarding. The team I work with is amazing everyone is so happy I help each other out, and we have fun doing it. The patients and their life stories and experiences.
What do you find challenging?
I find my role challenging every day as you do not know what patient or condition is going to come through the door.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
The thing I enjoy outside of work is a range of thing, I love to knit, I have a very creative side, I paint, knit and write short stories. I love a good shopping trip with friend and family, and exploring with my partner in the great out door.
