Dental and maxillofacial surgery
As per government and Trust guidelines we will be starting to resume our dental services at East Surrey Hospital. We have a back-log of patients to see and will prioritise those in most need. We will contact you for your appointments, however, should you wish to contact the department please telephone reception on 01737 231650.

Please note:
- Urgent dental care is still being provided in designated dental hubs. To access urgent dental care:
- Contact your general dental practitioner
- If you are an existing regular patient at ESH please contact our telephone triage system on 01737 231650 between 9:00am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday
- If you do not have a general dental practitioner call any local dental practice during normal working hours.
- Please note the dentist will carry out a phone consultation and offer appropriate advice. If there is a clinical need to be seen for treatment they will refer to an urgent dental care clinic.Outside of normal working hours please contact 111.
Based at East Surrey Hospital, the dental and maxillofacial team provides a range of specialist dental services – from dental treatment under general anaesthesia to the treatment of patients with complex dental disease requiring multi-disciplinary care.
Access to these services is normally by referral from the patient’s general dental practitioner or medical GP.
A list of local NHS dentists can be obtained from the Surrey Dental Helpline – phone 111 and ask to speak to the Surrey Dental Helpline.
