Miss Karen Jermy, gynaecology oncology lead and her team of Miss Maha Gorti, Miss Helen Nicks, Dr Edmond Gafrey, Miss Zahra Ameen and Miss Avni Batish  run a multitude of fast track and one stop clinics specifically catered to patients that are referred via their GP on a CWT (cancer wait time) pathway. These clinics include pelvic mass fast track clinics, general fast track clinics, colposcopy clinics and one stop outpatient hysteroscopy clinics.

These clinics are based in the Aldrich Blake Unit at East Surrey Hospital and the women’s centre at Crawley Hospital. We aim to have the patient who has been identified as a CWT referral from their GP to be seen in the first seven days of their 14 day pathway. We also aim to initiate any appropriate further investigation within this timeframe to its conclusion.

We realise that this can be a daunting time and we are always on hand to discuss any queries or concerns on. Patients can contact us on the following numbers:

For the small percentage of investigations that do reveal a gynaecological cancer, we hold a weekly multi-disciplinary team network meeting with our dedicated cancer services team here at SASH, along with experienced medical professionals in the field at The Royal Surrey County Hospital.

We will discuss an agreed treatment plan for our newly diagnosed SASH cancer patients ad will keep the patient and their family undated and informed along the way at all times.

Our aim is to get the treatment plan organised and implemented for our patients in the most compassionate, concise and definitive way. We are also on hand at any point in the patient’s journey. Should patients have any concerns, we are available on the numbers listed above. Patients can also contact our gynaecology oncology CNS team with the following details:
