All consultants undertake general and specialised cardiology outpatient clinics. These take place at East Surrey Hospital, Crawley Hospital and Horsham Hospital. Specialist clinics include heart failure, arrhythmia and cardiac maternity.
Other clinics include nurse-led rapid access chest pain clinics, which take place at East Surrey Hospital, four days a week.
SASH cardiac department has strong links with three tertiary centres:
- St George’s Hospital, Tooting
- London Heart Hospital
- The Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford
Cardiothoracic surgeons from these hospitals visit weekly to take part in multidisciplinary meetings with the cardiologists and also undertake clinics for patients being considered for cardiac surgery.
