General paediatric outpatient clinics

Clinics are held at East Surrey Hospital and Crawley Hospital, Monday to Friday all day.

Cardiology and echo clinic 

  • Clinics are held on Monday and Wednesday mornings at East Surrey Hospital with Dr Katta or Dr Jawad.
  • Echo clinics are held at East Surrey Hospital in the evenings. 

Cystic Fibrosis clinic 

  • Clinics are held once a month at both East Surrey Hospital and Crawley Hospital with Dr Catherine Greenaway and Dr Adenuga. These children can also be seen in the joint specialist respiratory clinic (see below)

Diabetes clinic 

  • Clinics are held at East Surrey Hospital on Monday afternoons. Clinics are held at Crawley Hospital on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons every week. 
  • Dr Jain and Dr Avi 

Paediatric dermatology 

  • These clinics take place monthly on a Monday morning and Tuesday afternoon with Dr Patel at East Surrey Hospital, and Friday afternoon with Dr Das at East Surrey Hospital.

Endocrinology, growth and puberty 

  • Clinics take place Tuesday morning with Dr Pullen at East Surrey Hospital and with Dr El Munshid Wednesday morning or afternoon at Crawley Hospital. 

Epilepsy

  • Clinics take place with Dr Ansell and Dr Sambantham Monday mornings at Crawley Hospital, Dr Ansell Wednesday mornings at East Surrey Hospital and Dr Sambantham Friday afternoons at East Surrey Hospital.

Haematology 

  • Clinics take place at East Surrey Hospital on Thursday afternoons with Dr Kamal Khoobarry.

Renal clinics

  • These clinics take place Wednesday afternoon at East Surrey Hospital. 

High-risk neonatal clinics 

  • Dr Abdul Khader runs a high-risk neonatal clinic for babies born less than 29 weeks and 6 days. The clinic is held at East Surrey Hospital on Wednesday mornings. These babies will have a follow-up for the first two years of their life – the frequency will be as per the medical needs of the baby. For more information, visit the Neonatal Unit page.

Oncology 

  • These clinics take place twice a month on a Wednesday morning with Dr Klutse at East Surrey Hospital. 

Paediatric surgery and urology

  • Clinics take place at East Surrey Hospital every Thursday and at Crawley Hospital once a month on a Thursday.

Rheumatology

  • Dr McGglone runs a clinic Thursday morning at East Surrey Hospital. 

Respiratory and allergy 

  • Clinics take place at East Surrey Hospital on Wednesday mornings and Friday Morning. At Crawley Hospital they take place on a Thursday morning every week and Friday mornings twice a month. The consultants are Dr Greenaway, Dr Radha, Dr Khader and Dr Sharif. 

Ophthalmology 

  • These clinics take place at East Surrey in the afternoons and at Crawley Hospital on Thursday afternoon. The consultants are Miss Weston and Ms Parvizi.  Orthoptic and refraction clinics are held at East Surrey Monday afternoons, at Crawley Hospitals on Monday afternoons, Tuesday afternoons and Friday afternoons.

Cardiology 

  • Cardiology consultant Dr Naqvi from the Brompton holds clinics at East Surrey Hospital on Thursdays

Clinical genetics

  • Clinics are held at Crawley Hospital, on the third Thursday of the month. They are run by Dr Meriel McEntagart from St George’s Hospital. There is also a clinic at Crawley Hospital on the third Friday of the month in the afternoon with Dr Alsters from St George’s.

Endocrinology 

  • Clinics are held at East Surrey Hospital with Dr Assunta Albanese, consultant endocrinologist from St George’s Hospital, and Dr Debbie Pullen.

Epilepsy

  • Held at the Crawley Child Development Centre in Crawley Hospital with Dr Krishna Das, consultant paediatric neurologist from Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Gastroenterology

  • Clinics are held at Crawley and East Surrey hospitals by Dr Butt from Brighton Hospital and Dr Onyeador from St George’s. 

Nephrology (kidneys)

  • Paediatric nephrology cases are currently referred to Guy’s Hospital, but we are in discussions with Guy’s about restarting outreach clinics at SASH. Patients are referred to these clinics by paediatric consultants.

Neurology 

  • Clinics are held at East Surrey and Crawley hospitals and are led by Dr Gelfer from St George’s and Kerry McGarrity, Advanced Clinical Practitioner.   

Respiratory clinics 

  • Clinics are held at East Surrey Hospital and Crawley Hospital for general respiratory conditions and young patients with cystic fibrosis, with Dr Ian Balfour-Lynn from the Royal Brompton Hospital and Dr Catherine Greenaway.
