Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust has been awarded Joint Advisory Group (JAG) accreditation following a visit last month from the Royal College of Physicians' Accreditation Unit. 

At the end of May, the Trust's Endoscopy team hosted a visit from the Joint Advisory Group (JAG), an esteemed national organisation that evaluates and accredits endoscopy services in the UK and Ireland.

Their goal is to ensure that patients undergoing endoscopy tests and treatment receive the highest quality care during all aspects of clinical service, including clinical quality, patient experience, workforce and training. 

Today, the Trust announced that its' Endoscopy services have received a prestigious five-year JAG accreditation certificate, which certifies its services until 2030. 

Trust Chief Executive, Angela Stevenson said:

"This is a fantastic achievement for our Endoscopy services and is a huge testament to the tremendous hard work and dedication of the whole team over the last six months. Achieving JAG accreditation is no small feat and I am incredibly proud of the team for their outstanding efforts towards improving the service we provide to our patients."
