Professional Background
Nick is a consultant acute physician who joined the team in 2017 having trained in the South West and Kent, Surrey and Sussex. His particular interest is the management of the acutely unwell patient and the use of bedside ultrasound to improve patient care. He also works with the Society for Acute Medicine to improve training for both junior doctors and those interested in ultrasound.
Alongside this, he is keen to improve the experience for patients who come to hospital with conditions that can be managed safely and quickly as an outpatient – ambulatory care. This includes offering a regular procedural clinic for patients who would benefit from a range of clinical procedures.
