Mr Negretti is a consultant ophthalmologist specialising in vitreoretinal surgery, ocular oncology, general ophthalmology and cataract surgery.

Following an undergraduate degree in biological sciences at the University of Oxford, he trained in medicine at the University of Cambridge. He undertook ophthalmology training in London. 

Following core ophthalmology training, he completed two years of vitreoretinal surgery fellowship and one year of ocular oncology fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital.

Mr Negretti is actively involved in research, with several important publications in the scientific literature. He has presented his vitreoretinal and oncological research at both national and international conferences. 

He is a clinical supervisor for the Kent, Surrey and Sussex deanery and actively takes part in the training of junior ophthalmologists. Mr Negretti has a passion for education in the developing world and has had the opportunity to travel to the Democratic Republic of Congo on two occasions to teach surgical and clinical ophthalmology.
