Mr Alan James is a Consultant in Upper Gastrointestinal and Laparoscopic Surgery.
He trained in medicine at Oxford University and Kings College London and gained specialist surgical training in the South East Thames region, culminating at St Thomas’ Hospital.
His specialist interests include the surgical and endoscopic management of gallstone disease, anti-reflux surgery and laparoscopic hernia repair. He was the trauma lead from 2012 to 2017 and held the role of clinical lead for general surgery from 2016 to 2018.
He has clinics and operates at East Surrey and Crawley hospitals and performs ERCP and endoscopy lists at East Surrey.
