Dr Nayyar was appointed a consultant in general (internal) medicine, diabetes and endocrinology at East Surrey Hospital in November 2017. She did her training as a specialist registrar at University Hospitals Leicestershire and KSS deanery and was appointed as a consultant in acute medicine, diabetes and endocrinology at Epsom & St Helier NHS Trust in 2011.
Dr Nayyar is responsible for inpatients on Capel Annex Ward at East surrey hospital and does speciality diabetes and endocrine outpatient clinics at the Earlswood centre.
She manages diabetes emergencies with a special interest in the inpatient diabetes service, she holds diabetes clinics for patients with type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes (new and diabetes reviews), complications related to diabetes, holds multi-disciplinary diabetes foot clinics and provides a specialist dedicated insulin pump service at East Surrey Hospital.
Dr Nayyar also manages all aspects of endocrinology including PCOS, pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal pathology.
