Dr Morgan has been a consultant in intensive care medicine and anaesthesia at SASH since September 2009. He is faculty tutor for the junior doctors on intensive care and clinical lead for the outreach service.

His anaesthetic lists include upper gastro-intestinal, ENT, gynaecology, paediatric and emergency surgery. His areas of interest in anaesthesia include enhanced recovery after surgery and intra-operative cardiac output monitoring.

Dr Morgan is involved in education, in particular simulation, developing several courses for junior doctors and nurses across the Trust and lecturing across the region.

He regularly publishes abstracts and research related articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr Morgan came to SASH after completing his training which included specialist placements in New Zealand, St. Georges, The Royal Free and The Royal Brompton Hospitals.
