Dr Jenny Bacon is a respiratory consultant with a specialist interest in sleep medicine, non-invasive ventilation and pulmonary vascular disease. She started work as a consultant at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust in March 2020. She runs the pulmonary emboli (PE) service for the trust and has developed a PE clinic with colleagues from haematology and pharmacy. She also leads the pulmonary hypertension service at SASH which is linked with the Royal Brompton Hospital pulmonary hypertension service. She is the clinical lead for non-invasive ventilation and runs a regular sleep and ventilation clinic.
Dr Bacon completed her MD Research looking at the diagnostic investigation of pulmonary hypertension using dual energy CT imaging at St George’s, University of London. She also completed a fellowship in sleep and pulmonary vascular disease at the Lane Fox Unit, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. She has published several articles and presented internationally, particularly in relation to pulmonary vascular disease and sleep disordered breathing.
