Dr Gleb Ivanov , MD PhD MRCP FRCPath
Dr Gleb Ivanov is a Consultant Haematologist at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. His special interests include lymphoma, thrombosis/thrombophilia and general Haematology.
Dr Ivanov qualified as a doctor in Minsk, Belarus and was awarded a PhD in Haematology/Biochemistry (St Petersburg, Russia) for research into the role of neutrophilic proteins in haematological conditions. Dr Ivanov continued his research as a Fellow of The Royal Society at the Leukocyte Adhesion Laboratory, Imperial Cancer Research Fund, London.
Dr Ivanov trained in major UK cancer centres such as the Royal Marsden Hospital, Sutton and Christie Hospital, Manchester. He completed specialist training in Haematology at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff and was subsequently appointed as a Consultant Haematologist at Southend University Hospital. Dr Ivanov has joined SASH in 2011. He maintains close links with his colleagues at University College Hospital and the Royal Marsden Hospital, at the same time aiming at delivering the most up-to-date care to patients as close to their home as possible.
