The difference your feedback makes
We are very grateful for your comments and feedback and strive to make improvements and changes that will address the issues that affect you when you use one of our services.
On a monthly basis we assemble the feedback received from the Your Care Matters survey and Friends and Family Test cards and review what action and changes are necessary to improve your patient experience.
Here are some of the improvements we have made recently:
East Surrey Hospital inpatient wards
Open visiting – family and friends can now visit patients on our inpatient wards when it is convenient for both the patient and themselves.
We have introduced the Carer’s Passport to support carers who wish to continue to provide care to their friend/relative who is an inpatient.
We have put in place a carers referral procedure to assist carers with gaining advice, information and support in their caring role.
Orthopaedics and fracture clinic
To address the issue of calls not being answered, we will be installing a new telephone system in orthopaedics which will help to direct patients to the correct location and ensure calls are always answered.
East Surrey Hospital
To make it easier to find your way around the hospital we are assessing both the internal and external signage to see where improvements can be made.
