Dr Barry Jackson is a consultant haematologist and joined Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust in September 2013. Having trained initially at Kings College London , Dr Jackson completed his higher specialist training on the South West London Haematology Rotation, with extensive experience at St Georges Hospital and the Royal Marsden Hospital, maintaining close links with both. He also gained valuable experience at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Frimley Park Hospital and Epsom and St Helier’s Hospital where he further developed his passion for patient care.
Dr Jackson manages patients with all haematological disorders including haematology cancers, transfusion medicine, haemoglobinopathies and general haematology. He enjoys a particular interest in investigating and managing thrombosis and haemostasis (clotting and bleeding) disorders and leads in these areas. He also enthusiastically engages in all aspects of haematology training.
Dr Jackson is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathology and a Member of the Royal College of Physicians. He holds a BSc in Basic Medical Sciences with Pharmacology.
