Clinics

Telephone follow-up post diagnosis

Following your diagnosis, the breast clinical nurse specialist (CNS) will arrange a time to call you the following week at home to offer psychological support and answer any queries you may have. This also provides the opportunity to review the contents in your patient care plan folder.

Prosthesis fitting clinics

This is for patients who have undergone a mastectomy. A 30 minute appointment will be arranged for approximately six weeks after your operation to see Janine Verge, our dedicated bra and prosthesis fitter. If the correct size is not in stock, it will be ordered, and a further appointment will be arranged for you to come back once the correct size has arrived.

The prosthesis fitting clinic is also available for you in the future should you require a replacement, change in size or other assessment. Please contact the breast CNS to discuss your needs and to learn more about updated and improved products.

Read the Breast Cancer Care prosthesis leaflet here.

Support and wellbeing clinic

Every Thursday morning we run a support and wellbeing clinic at East Surrey Hospital which offers emotional, practical, and psychological support to patients moving forward following the end of treatment.

New clinics take place on the first and third Thursday of the month, and a follow up clinic is held on the second and fourth Thursday of the month.

Details of clinics at Crawley and Horsham hospitals will be available soon.

Please contact a breast CNS for an appointment at any of our support and wellbeing clinics.
