Interventional radiology

A range of interventional radiography is also carried out within diagnostic imaging, including nephrostograms, ureteric stenting and biopsies, which can be directed by ultrasound or CT scanning. We also provide a range of peripheral angiography, angioplasties and arterial stenting that complement the work of the cardiac department's angiography suite.

The Trust has recently approved a business case to extend our interventional service in 2012, including the replacement of the interventional radiology equipment and redevelopment of the interventional suite in a project worth £900,000.
