Overview
At East Surrey Hospital we provide a range of specialist dental services. Access to these services is normally by referral from the patient's general dental or medical practitioner.
We do not provide general dentistry. Surrey PCT commissions general dentistry direct from the many general dental practices in the area.

Our Specialist Dental Services:
Oral & MaxilloFacial Surgery:
Dento-alveolar and maxillo-facial diagnosis. Treatment under local and general anaesthesia. Specialist fast track soft tissue lesion assessment.
Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon: Mr J Collyer
Orthodontics:
Advice and diagnosis for children and adults. Treatment for complex multidisciplinary cases and patients with special medical needs.
Consultant Orthodontist: Natasha Wright
Paediatric Dentistry:
Treatment under sedation and general anaesthesia for children who are unable to accept treatment in the General Dental Services.

Restorative Dentistry:
Advice for all aspects of restorative dentistry, including:
- endodontics
- periodontics
- prosthodontics

Special Care Dentistry:
Treatment for patients with specific physical, mental or medical needs. Our Dental Clinic at Caterham Dene Hospital provides access to outpatient treatment closer to home for some patients.

This service runs at weekends and bank holidays, providing emergency care for patients in pain.
