These facilities are very popular. You will need to book in using the booking sheet at the counter.
- The Libraries at East Surrey Hospital and Crawley Hospital have a number of computers with Internet access and Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel etc)
- Floppy disks are available from library staff at 50p each
- CD-Roms are available from library staff at 50p each
Out of hours access to computers
- Both libraries have computers with Internet access which you can use out of hours.
- Out of hours access to both libraries is available to library members. You can obtain an Out of Hours Access Request Form by contacting either library or download one from here and send it to your base library.
- Both libraries have black and white printers
- Printing charges:
Printing for literature searches is free of charge
Black and white printing 2p per page
Colour printing 20p per page (work related), 50p per page (private)
- Use the Scanner at either library to scan photos and documents
- Use the CD Writer at either library to save large amounts of information to CD ROM
You can access a number of training packages at both libraries.These include interactive packages to help you with:
- Word processing (Word)
- Computer Skills (Excel, Access, Outlook, Powerpoint, Publisher)
- Using the Internet
- Typing and keyboard skills
- Management skills (including appraisal, communications, time management etc.)
- MCQS (practice exam questions with explanation and feedback)
- Essential skills (literacy and numeracy)
