Community transport schemes

There are a number of Community Transport schemes operating that help people with limited mobility get around or provide a transport alternative in areas with poor public transport.

Buses4U

This is a demand responsive service that operates in Surrey. Find out more on their website at www.buses4u.org.uk.

Dial-a-ride

Dial-a-Ride is a specialist door-to-door transport which caters for people, often disabled, who are unable to take advantage of traditional buses which do not have, for example, room for wheelchairs or tail lifts.

Some schemes require users to register and a cost - comparable to public transport charges - is usually involved. Contact your local scheme for more information:

Crawley - 01293 657080;
East Surrey & Tandridge - 01883 349001;
