Please note that this information relates to East Surrey Hospital and the Redwood Elective Centre.

Disabled parking
Marked bays for vehicles clearly displaying a valid blue badge or with approval to park by reason of short term disability of the driver or passenger can be found close to the East and West entrances. Please note that 'blue badge' holders parking within the barrier-controlled Trust car park are liable to standard car park fees.

Charges
Car parking charges are shown below. We operate a 'pay-on-foot' system where a ticket will be issued on entering the car park. Before leaving, the fee will need to be paid at one of the pay machines inside the hospital. This will validate the ticket to allow exit from the car park. The pay machines take both coins and notes and give change and can be found close to both the east and west entrances and the Emergency Department (A&E) entrance.

Fixed-rate charges (£3)
This charge applies to green capped-rate tickets that will be available from the relevant ward or department visited to replace the ticket issued on entering the car park. It will apply to:

In-patients who drive themselves to hospital
Relatives staying for extended periods with an inpatient (e.g. a child), an A&E patient, a critically ill patient or a partner with a woman in labour;
Patients staying for extended outpatient investigations or tests.
Exemptions to car park charges

If displaying a valid blue badge or otherwise approved, the following visitors are exempt from car park charges:

Vehicles parked in the marked disabled bays outside of the main car park if displaying a valid blue badge
Patients qualifying under the Hospital Travel Cost Scheme (HTCS) - may collect a single use exit ticket from the cashiers (in the main entrance foyer at Crawley and near the west entrance help desk at East Surrey).
The Trust accepts no responsibility for loss or damage of vehicles parked on Trust land.
