Counter fraud

The Local Counter Fraud Specialist (LCFS) for Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is Sarah Pratley (pictured) who is a fully accredited LCFS.

Sarah works for Parkhill, who provide the Counter Fraud Service to 50 NHS Trusts and Health bodies throughout the UK.

Sarah worked as a Benefit Fraud Investigator for nine years before moving into the NHS Counter Fraud Service in 2007.

Through the work of Sarah and her LCFS colleagues, the NHS Counter Fraud Service estimate that potential savings of ‚£811m have been put back into the patient care system.

In an effort to make colleagues and members of the public more aware of fraud within the NHS, Parkhill's Counter Fraud Investigation Team publish a quarterly newsletter detailing some of the work of LCFSs throughout the UK.
