John Power, Non Executive Director

John held board positions running Hawker Siddeley and Rolls Royce manufacturing companies before joining the Ministry of Defence (MoD).

At the MoD John held a wide variety of top posts, in the UK and overseas, most of which involved giving policy advice to Ministers. He enjoyed such diverse appointments as being Middle East Director, Political Adviser in Bosnia, UK Adviser in Sierra Leone, Director of Aircraft Procurement and Director of Finance & Planning.  

John has held previous NHS Non Executive posts at Ambulance Trust, Primary Care Trust and Strategic Health Authoirty levels. He holds current Non Executive posts as President, Chairman and Trustee of various MoD Agencies, major military charities and other charities. 

John is also a senior officer in the Parachute Regiment Territorial Army, and has undertakern a succession of command and staff posts, including long operational tours.
